Custom-Made Steel Fence with Solid Panels and Perforated Metal Sheet – Manufactured and Installed by Mosch Home

A custom-made fence begins with a discussion about preferences, space, and the desired appearance. For this project, Mosch Home manufactured and installed a custom steel fence, with a design developed through discussions with the client. Choosing the design and color combination was part of the same process, with every detail contributing to the final appearance of the entire structure.

The design combines solid steel panels in the lower section with a perforated metal band in the upper section. The solid surfaces provide privacy by limiting visibility into the property, while the round perforations create a subtle sense of openness and a lighter visual appearance. This combination achieves a balance between privacy and transparency, preventing the fence from appearing completely solid across its entire height.

The dark-colored steel structure frames the panels and highlights the fence's geometry. The contrast with the lighter surfaces emphasizes the clean, straight lines, while the repeated perforations introduce an orderly decorative detail. The design maintains its simplicity while gaining character through the combination of textures, colors, and proportions.

The customization process was shaped through ongoing communication with the client. We discussed the design and how its individual elements would complement one another to achieve a result that reflected her preferences. Custom manufacturing allows the fence to be adapted to the specific requirements of the project, ensuring a harmonious composition between the panels, frame, and perforated section.

To help the client choose the colors, we provided physical finish samples. These allowed her to compare shades directly and examine surface textures, offering a more accurate reference than photographs or digital images. Placing the samples side by side also made it easier to evaluate the contrast between the frame color and the panel finishes.

In this project, the combination of dark and light shades reinforces the fence's overall design: the frame and perforated band define the structure's lines, while the solid panels create a bright contrast. The choice of colors therefore becomes an integral part of the design, playing a significant role in the final appearance.

The installation was carried out by the Mosch Home team, completing the manufacturing process. Proper panel alignment, precise positioning of the supporting elements, and careful attention to joints are essential for maintaining visual continuity in a design where lines and proportions remain clearly visible.
